The Combat Shooting Course is designed for Military commands and Law Enforcement agencies that want world leading, evidence based training with the best practice approach to developing and preparing personnel for high-risk operations, physically, psychologically and cognitively. This course has been developed to educate and train students in current techniques and procedures in safe weapons handling, marksmanship, critical thinking and cognitive skills to increase survivability, lethality and resilience to combat stress.
During the course students will receive lessons to develop individual skills and drills with both pistol and carbine that relate to combat shooting competencies. Students will be assessed throughout the course in their ability to apply the points of performance taught during live fire assessments. These assessments have been developed to evaluate critical thinking skills and decisions making under stress, and the ability to demonstrate combat marksmanship and good combat behaviors that increase lethality and survivability.
Classroom education will include a lesson on external ballistics and the 45m zero as well as lessons that will introduce students to the physiological aspects of stress on the body and mind during deadly force encounters.
Students will be assessed on engagement speed, accuracy and weapons handling through a series of combat shooting standards. We will use our patent pending data collection and analysis process to record individual performance data on each student during the combat shooting assessments. The data will be analyzed and extrapolated to provide measurable, quantifiable and qualifiable feedback on individual performance. Individual performance data will be compared against our tiered performance structure to provide evidence based results in training. Performance data will be collected during specific periods of the course and used as comparisons in capability throughout the training, providing an exact understanding of current competency while providing a clear path forward to excellence.
