COMBAT SHOOTING

COMBAT Pistol & CARBINE

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Being able to react quickly and decisively during dynamic lethal force situations requires a high level of proficiency, exceptional weapon handling skills, surgical marksmanship, and the ability to operate safely and effectively in high-stress, high-risk situations. Our 3-day pistol and carbine courses deliver leading edge training in the techniques, procedures and application of marksmanship fundamentals, surgical accuracy, weapons handling skills and survivability, delivered via our combat shooting system.

Our combat shooting system will provide you with a safe and efficient system to carry, control and operate your weapon systems that has been proven out in over a decade of special operations service and refined over 20-years of law enforcement and military training programs.

You will be taught weapons handling techniques and procedures that are simple to learn, easy to replicate under stress that utilize economy of motion to increase speed and minimize physical effort during manipulation. You will be taught procedures to develop instinctive combat behaviors that are essential for survivability during a lethal force encounter. You will be taught techniques to perceive, recognize and acquire threats and allow you to utilize use of force policies during live fire engagements at close quarters and up to distances of 100-yards with both pistol and carbine.

Our master instructor has 30-years of teaching experience and will deliver professional instructor led training that will include cutting edge techniques and procedures in marksmanship, accuracy and weapons handling that is designed to encode instinctive behaviors in response to threat stimulus.

We utilize accelerated learning techniques and adult learning methodology to deliver our curriculum. We focus on positive reinforcement together with timely and constructive feedback during psychomotor and kinesthetic learning sessions.

During day one you will learn techniques to enhance your individual skills with the duty handgun. Training will include reviewing previously learnt skills and learning enhanced techniques in accessing, drawing, and presenting the pistol as well as acquiring and engaging the target faster using advanced sight management, trigger management and recoil management strategies.

During day two, you will integrate the duty carbine and pistol and receive lessons to increase your survivability and your methods of interdiction at close quarters. You will learn enhanced techniques to present and acquire threats with the carbine, shoot while moving, perform post engagement procedures, communicate effectively, and demonstrate instinctive combat behaviors. You will learn how to perform the immediate action drill when incurring a stoppage on the carbine at close quarters and how to identify and fix common and uncommon stoppages when they occur. You will be taught cutting edge techniques and procedures in weapons handling that are designed to instill instinctive behaviors in response to a lethal force encounter.

On day three you will learn techniques to engage threats at distances from 25-yards to 100-yards. Your training will include positional shooting, barricaded shooting, bilateral shooting skills, dynamic shooting, stoppage clearance drills and you will have a basic understanding of the principles of fire and maneuver, demonstrated through dynamic training exercises.
