CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLE

Basic Close Quarter Battle

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This dynamic 5-day/40hr course of instruction has been developed to provide the core elements of competency to conduct team level, time sensitive dynamic structural CQB.

This course commences with a module of advanced close quarters combat shooting using pistol and carbine and is designed to introduce students to the Redback one combat shooting system and assess students current competency in the tactical application of both weapons systems for CQB.

Following the module of combat shooting, students will move to the classroom and receive lessons on CQB including a dynamic CQB brief, safety policies, the priority of threat matrix, corner and center fed rooms and areas of responsibility.

Upon completion of the classroom lessons, students will move to the practical exercises including, door procedures, entry procedures, movement procedures and communication. These lessons are designed to provide students with the doctrinal framework of room combat and structural clearance as an assault team member. From there, training will continue with door and room problem solving where students will be introduced to our proprietary Primary 10 room scenarios designed to increase the students ability to process information quickly and apply proven tactics during room to room combat training.

By the completion of this course, students will have the ability to conduct rapid intuitive planning to safely enter and clear a structure as part of a team. Students will have increased their situational awareness and effectiveness to conduct time sensitive room combat operations by applying the tactics, techniques and procedures delivered by our Cadre.
